            By using the Patch Service, you agree to these munity Guidelines (the “Guidelines”) and our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. The Guidelines are intended to help keep Patch a safe and neighborly place for everyone. Content that violates the Guidelines may be removed, and accounts of repeat offenders may be suspended or terminated.

            1) Keep it clean and friendly

            • Patch does not tolerate racist, obscene or abusive comments and images.
            • The people in your Patch are your neighbors. Treat them as such. Always use clean and civil language, even in heated debates.

            2) Keep it local

            • Please don't spam Patch with free promotions of your business or organization.
            • To advertise on Patch, we ask that you instead post a paid event or classified.

            4) Check your facts

            • Avoid posting hearsay or other unverified information, especially about community members.
            • Always cite your sources. Tell neighbors where you got your facts.
            • It’s OK if you don’t know something — just say so. Spreading misinformation, even by accident, could hurt your community.

            5) Help your neighbors

            • Create a profile to ask and answer local questions, share news tips and more.
            • Thank your neighbors when they post something helpful — and flag them if they’re out of line.
            • Patch is your place. Help make it awesome.

            6) Share your local photos

            • Only upload a photo if it was taken by YOU or if you have specific written permission from the owner to post the photo on Patch.
            • For each photo you upload, please provide a date, location and description of what’s pictured.
            • Remember, any photos or other content you post are subject to provisions of the Patch Terms of Use.
